The next hotspot for Sri Lanka would be its glorious waterfalls which provide valuable water supply and irrigate the surrounding region. The Diyaluma Falls, St. Claire Falls, Ravana Falls and Devon Falls are but a few of the many waterfalls that dot the countryside. Waterfalls can also be found the other ecological locations in Sri Lanka – its tea plantations – that carpet the hillsides for miles as the eye can see. These plantations have helped arrest any commercialisation of the beautiful mountains and hillsides as tea is one of the leading export commodities of the island.
