Barefoot, Colombo is one of the most amazing places, with a 40 years history you will ever see in midst of ever-so busy Colombo. They have a colourful boutique, a simple yet a tasteful gallery and a beautiful garden cafe on the Galle Road.  The Boutique is open from Monday to Sunday from 10am to 7pm. 

As you enter this store you will find the most beautiful colours put together in yards and yards of cloth. They not only have cloth, they have almost everything you need to decorate your home, clothes that are made out of the exquisite handmade fabrics in Sri Lanka, toys made out of wood and cloth, little but precious souvenirs, Travel Books, autobiographies and many other types of books for book lovers
There products shows quality in everything and has its own unique identity. The founder of this store, Barbara Sansoni still provides the designs for her wonderful store. She is an artist, a writer and a talented designer with great taste. This is a great place to buy eco friendly and safe products to take back home. 
The Barefoot Gallery has entertained many acclaimed artists and gives a blissful feeling to the people who adore paintings, sculptures and photography. There are new book releases happening at this gallery quite frequent as well. 
You should definitely walk in to their Garden Cafe surrounded by many frangipani Trees, on your visit to their store or gallery. This open cafe serves the most excellent lime juice and calamari pasta. For desert you should try having their chocolate mousse, which is just out of this world. They have great live Jazz on most Sundays at lunch time and on every Wednesday night they hold the ‘Colombo Pub Quiz’ that you can also be a part of it and have gallons of fun and enjoy the delicious dinner served as well. They have a free WIFI zone for you to get some urgent work done or to just update your facebook.
Cafe is usually open on Monday to Saturday from 10am to 7pm and on Sundays and Poya days it will be open from 11am to 5pm.  When you are inside Barefoot, you wouldn’t have the feeling of being in a busy city but in a serene, remote place which will give you a divine and happy feeling.
