Flying over tourist hotspots in a hot air balloon offers a bird’s eye-view of the countryside, providing a unique perspective on the island’s archaeological sights, national parks, waterfalls and its other natural beauty. All the hot air balloons in use are imported from the UK and balloon pilots have flying eligibility certification from the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka.

 
An experienced ground crew that tracks the balloon’s progress by jeep remains in radio contact with the pilot during the balloon’s flight. The balloon can rise up to a height of 3,000 ft
