The Gallery Cafe situated in eventful Colombo at Alfred House Road is happily hidden from the busy atmosphere in the city and will bring sudden tranquillity as you enter its driveway itself. Gallery Cafe has an interesting art gallery, a nice restaurant, a simple yet a well stocked bar and a gift shop with merchandise from the Paradise Road. 
These premises were once the office of the famous Sri Lankan Architect Geoffrey Bawa and that explains the simple architecture that has its very own classic identity. As you walk in you will have a very different feeling with all the Nil Manel (Sri Lanka’s National Flower) in pots and ponds and so many other valuable and tasteful things to see on the sides of the walk way to the cafe.

 

 

The Art Gallery is situated at the entrance of the cafe has many interesting paintings from talented local artists.  You can go in to their bar and order either a very strong Man’s drink or a delicious and exotic cocktail. There are comfortable sofas, director’s chairs made out of leather with cement tables that will help you to have a relaxing time with your family and friends. 
The Restaurant in the outer courtyard with lovely white umbrellas is a wonderful and peaceful place for people to enjoy lunch or dinner. The waiters and other staff at the Gallery Cafe are friendly, helpful and they all speak and understand English at least in moderate levels. They will always help you out on what to try according to the taste you love best.
They have fusion cuisine that will suit everyone’s taste buds. Lemon Grass and Ginger Chicken with Spinach and Potato is one of their signature dishes that many like to experience. Their food itself is a work of art that is made with great attention to detail. If you visit Gallery Cafe you should not miss their special cakes. Some of the favourites among their clients are Double Chocolate Cheesecake and lemon Meringue Pie. Their desserts are also super yummy and most of them are made out of delicious chocolate as well. 
On your way out you can buy some lovely souvenir items or a gift for someone from their Gallery Shop. They have different items to be sold with their signature brand, Paradise Road, which both foreigners and locals love to take home.
